Motorhead

Motorhead is a rock'n'roll band that, by its weight and speed, have influenced many bands, heavy metal, especially thrash metal, punk rock and hardcore. It was formed in 1975 by vocalist and bassist Lemmy Kilmister. The passion for music by Lemmy Kilmister (vocals and bass) led him to still in the 60's follow the band as roadie for Jimi Hendrix. His professional debut in the musical world would be with the band Hawkwind that has some small hits in the 70s. Lemmy was fired by the HawKwind have been barred at the airport in Canada by carrying drugs (actually it was amphetamine). Decides then assemble a band with the drummer Lucas Fox and Larry Wallis, calling this new band of Bastards, but then changed the name to Motorhead (an American slang used by addicted to amphetamines) which was the name of its latest contribution to the HawKwind . Lucas was replaced by Phil Fox ( "Philthy Animal") Taylor who was an amateur musician and childhood friend of Lemmy.
